In Sölden the winter season already starts in the beginning of October, as soon as the stars of the Alpine Ski World Cup get together on Rettenbach Glacier high above Sölden - on the occasion of the Alpine Ski Championship Season Opener. "Ladies first" is the slogan of the Women's giant slalom held on Saturday while the Men's competition takes place on Sunday. Thrilling moments and loads of action await you!

Sölden is the venue of the Red Bull Illume action photo exhibition in 2023. Red Bull Illume is the world's largest adventure and action sports photography competition. It showcases the world's most creative and captivating images while highlighting the passion, lifestyle and culture of the photographers who took them.

The glacier spectacle HANNIBAL shows the history of Carthage amidst the mighty mountains of Tirol. In collaboration with Sölden and Red Bull, the Lawine Torrèn artistic network is staging Hannibal's historic crossing of the Alps with snow groomers, airplanes, dancers, helicopters and extreme athletes as a both real and tangible performance at 3000 meters above sea level in the present.

Mountains full of beats: the unrivaled ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL 2023 provided the ultimate remix of skiing fun, dance music and culinary delights for entire five days. All this in a breathtaking setting at the heart of the Sölden ski area. Side events presented the warm-up before some 18,000 dance aficionados transformed the whole Giggijoch area into a huge, snow-covered dance floor on the two main festival days.
